Karl Hedeen, PT, Owner
Karl was born in Seattle in 1964 and graduated from Stanwood High School in 1982. He received his Undergraduate degree in 1986 from the University of Oregon, where he also ran track. Karl attended physical therapy school at Northwestern University in Chicago, graduating in 1989. He married his high school sweetheart, Heidi, in 1990. Karl and Heidi live in Stanwood with their three children, Henry, Gus, and Sigrid. He stays busy in his free time with family activities including sports and spending time at the beach.
Becky Rice, MS, PT
Becky joined the NorthSound Physical Therapy family in August of 2002. A 1993 graduate of Andrews University in Michigan, Becky has special training in manual therapy with Mulligan joint mobilization and strain and counterstrain techniques. She also has special training in treating urinary incontinence with exercise, biofeedback, and electrical stimulation. Her experience includes special interest in TMJ disorders and vertigo. Becky is a certified clinical instructor and member of the APTA's Women's Health and Orthopedic Sections. In her spare time Becky enjoys kayaking, hiking, backpacking, and outdoor photography with her husband Andrew.
Aimee Clements, DPT
Aimee is originally from Olympia, Washington. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Science in Biology/Physiology in 2006. She returned to the UW to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and graduated in June of 2010. She enjoys hiking, crossfit and watching football. GO DAWGS!

Sheila graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in 1993. She joined NorthSound Physical Therapy's Stanwood clinic in January of 2006 after practicing for many years in Guam and California.
Physical Therapist Assistants
Stacey Killian, PTA
Stacey joined NorthSound Physical Therapy in December of 1997. A graduate of Whatcom Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant program, Stacey established NorthSound Physical Therapy's Aquatic Therapy program. She is certified by the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute (ATRI) and has instructor training in pre- and post-natal exercise.

Karen has been employed with NorthSound Physical Therapy in our Stanwood clinic since 1999. She graduated from Whatcom Community College in December of 1999. Karen is a proud parent of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. When she is not working she enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, weight lifting, Yoga and Pilates.
Natasha Phillips, PTA
Natasha is originally from Ridgecrest, CA and moved to Washington in 1993. She joined NorthSound Physical Therapy's Stanwood clinic in 2009, after receiving her PTA degree from Whatcom Community College and her Bachelor's degree in pre-physical therapy from Western Washington University. She has been interested in the physical therapy profession since she was 16 years old when she first volunteered in a rehab center to learn about it. Natasha lives with her two dogs in Mount Vernon and enjoys movies, photography, and spending time with her friends.
