Responsibilities:
- Assist the physical therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs, medical history, and goals.
- Conduct exercises and therapeutic activities as prescribed by the physical therapist, focusing on improving patients’ range of motion, flexibility, strength, and endurance.
- Observe and evaluate patients’ progress during therapy sessions, documenting and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Instruct and educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, proper body mechanics, and the use of assistive devices to maximize their independence and facilitate their recovery.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of therapy equipment, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and functioning properly.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team to develop and modify treatment plans as necessary, based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and responses to treatment, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their therapy sessions, promoting a positive and motivating environment for their rehabilitation.
- Comply with all relevant legal and ethical standards, following established protocols and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques, attending workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs to enhance your professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Washington.
- Proven experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and common physical therapy techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with physical exercises and perform manual therapy techniques.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of patients and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
Note: The salary range offered for this position is $26.00 – $33.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
